Welcoming Current Students

Happy September! It was amazing to welcome students back to campus over the past week and to get back in the classroom. In a college town like Cambridge or Boston, although people work through the summer, parts of the city feel dead when the students are home and it’s so wonderful to see everything come back to life.

On Monday, I went to a Lesley First Night event with current (undergraduate) students and it was a blast. It was amazing to see the campus come back to life after a three-month hiatus this summer.

Tuesday marked the beginning of my internship, and it also marked the move-in day for the Threshold students. I am now an intern at Brahma Kumaris Meditation Center in Watertown, MA. It’s a nice center although it runs primarily at nights and weekends instead of the week days.

On Wednesday, Mia, Connor, and I joined the Core and Bridge students for a Lesley Hospitality event. On Saturday, Rena and I joined other Threshold alumni to see the movie “Wicked.” It was supposed to be outside but due to high wind it was moved indoors. It was a long event with a pre-party and the movie but was a lot of fun.
