Boston Exploring/Harbor (Wang Theatre, Harbor, Fenway), Boston Fashion Show Fourth of July

This was my first Fourth of July in Cambridge, and I had a blast. Mom and Dad even came out because Mia was away, so they wanted to keep me company. On Friday and Sunday nights, I even stayed at the Charles Hotel with them. But I did a lot over the days leading up to the actual holiday.

On Wednesday, July 2, I headed into Boston on the Red and Orange Lines and explored the Wang Theatre area, an area I had never visited before. From there, I took the Orange Line to State Street and the Blue Line to Aquarium, and explored some of the events that Boston Harborfest had planned for the weekend. I then took the Blue Line to Government Center and the Green Line to Fenway Park to buy Eli a birthday present. Due to some class schedule changes, I worked after doing all this exploration.

On Thursday, I headed into Boston to see the 4th of July Fashion show. I even stopped in Primemark to pick out a Fourth of July outfit. Unfortunately, because it was the day before, I got stuck with Disney shirts, but the shirt I picked out looked cute. Once my parents arrived, we met up with the Brenners and had dinner at Legal Seafood for Christopher’s graduation. We then walked to the North End and got some treats at Mike’s Pastry.

On Friday, Eli joined us for dinner, and we ate at McCarthy’s, which is right by his current apartment. I had been there once with Rena and her family, but it was Mom and Dad’s first time there. Due to the holiday, we ordered off a limited menu. After the meal and a small rest, we reunited with Eli for a fireworks show. Although the actual show was at the Hatch Shell, we stayed on the Cambridge side, which was quieter. We were on the JFK bridge and could see the fireworks from a distance.
