We had a fun end-of-semester closeout. The weather on Friday and Saturday was a bit of a downpour, so we didn’t do much, but the past two days have seen gorgeous weather.
We had a BBQ on Thursday with current students, which was a blast. There were so many outdoor games — Connect 4, Jenga, and a bunch of food to go with it. I especially loved the watermelon and the excellent company. Many students and staff came, including our new Budgeting Lab teacher, Sarah Gardiner, and several people from the Lifelong Support Program, along with our three interns. We also had a lot of old faces like Chef Leah (host) along with the incomparable Catherine Horan, Susanne Carter and Louise Perryman. Pam and Melpo even brought their kids.

The event was followed by an ice cream social for alumni to welcome the newest graduates to the alumni center. I had previously brought Saumya to an event in April, but this formally welcomed everyone to the alumni community.
On Saturday, the Cambridge Common Voices were invited to perform at Jordan Hall with the Longwood Symphony Orchestra. We were the first group to perform and some people stayed and watched the orchestra but Dylan and I went home right away. I cannot wait for our Open Mic Night and our New York performance.
