We had a great Family and Friends weekend and it was smaller than last year. Dad, Mr Jeppsen and Mrs Jeppsen came to visit us and Friday night, we started with the five of us crowded in the room. For dinner, Dad and I went to Stoked Pizza and the Jeppsens went to the Abbey. It was nice for us to be together. I even made a joke that all we have to offer for sleeping that we only have a rug and I was not sure it would be comfortable for three adults, but Dad and the Jeppsens each had hotels
The five of us plus Mom and Sydney are like my Threshold family. Only Mom and Dad are related to me and actual family but Mia is my roommate, which is something that we wanted to do for 19 months. Mr and Mrs Jeppsen are part of the family, just because they are Mia’s parents. As for Sydney, she calls me “one of the most special people she knows, nothing more and nothing less than her best friend”.
On Saturday, I worked and then Dad and I met up and ate breakfast at Ava’s. Later, we met up with Dylan and Sydney to walk to University Hall for the Threshold Alumni Panel. After that, Dad, Mr & Mrs Jeppsen and Mia went to the Crepe place, while I went over to Dylan’ Ritvik and Eli’s apartment with Sydney and Dylan. Later on, we went to the carnival and met so many other families. I even met Rena’s boyfriend. The night was tapped with dinner at Chang Sho with Dad, the Jeppsens and Chloe followed by another stop at Dylan Ritvik and Eli’s place.
On Sunday, I went to Dunkin with Lauren while Mia went to breakfast with her parents and then met up with Threshold alumni at the restaurant called S&S for brunch club in Inman Square. Later on, we met at the Harvard Square Open Market. I had gone previously with Sarah and a group of Threshold students when Mia was out of town, but she wanted to come this time. We wandered around Harvard Square and winded up at Joe’s pizza but I got a house salad since they do not have gluten free dough.
We then met up with Dad to go to Needham to see Auntie Erin, Uncle Jamey, Christopher and Drew. It was a bit of a last minute invite to Mia, but she was happy to come and welcomed by everyone. Ophie wanted to stay with Mia, but we cannot have dogs in the dorms.
