New Year

Today is New Year’s Day and we kept the celebration small due to omicron and not having much planned. We did not miss my favorite holiday, just modified it (as we had done in 2020). Happy New Year to you all

We had a very simple New Years Eve dinner of manicotti (my Aunt Heidi’s recipe) and salad. Our biggest New Year project was a 4-D puzzle of Boston. The first — and longest — step was to create Boston in the 1800s, which was a standard 720 piece puzzle. Then, we added foam of Boston today, which was expanded up to Cambridge, but not to my campus. We had to add the buildings of Boston, which I added as we went along.

After New Years Eve dinner, I FaceTimed with Lydia, who is my friend and peer mentor from Lesley. She has helped me A LOT with the drama — and I have even come into her dorm when I needed a break from it. I LOVE her advice on what to do around campus and how to tell if something is true or not. Many of her friends are Threshold students and she has told me that I am going to love my teachers next semester.

While watching the NYE ball, Uncle Tom finished out the year getting crushed by Dad at Shuffleboard.
