Mom’s Birthday
We had a great birthday celebration for Mom the other day. Since Dad wasn’t feeling well in the days prior, I ordered her cake to be delivered to our house. It was a White Chocolate Moose cake, which they really enjoyed. For dinner, we went out ot Lucca, which is an Italian restaurant in Oakbrook.Continue reading “Mom’s Birthday”
New Champion
This year, a lot of my players did not do as well so I did not make the playoffs. I finished in sixth place and Mom was the first place champion. I am so proud of her and at the start of the Wild Card weekend, we will have our Fantasy Closing ceremony.
Class, LT Reunion
For the first time in my college career, I am taking an Intersession (or as many colleges call it J-Term) course. I was originally going to take two, but dropped one of them because it was a lot of material condensed into three weeks. Yesterday, I met up with Sam, Alese and Garrett at NoodlesContinue reading “Class, LT Reunion”
The Festive Season
We had a great Christmas and New Years. I have not been able to write much about it because I have been spending time with family so I am going to catch up. We started our second bi-annual progressive Christmas while I was still in school. We met up with Auntie Erin, Uncle Jamey, ChristopherContinue reading “The Festive Season”

Chef Leah does fun recipes on the day before we close for a holiday. On Tuesday, we made holiday cookies and secondContinue reading “Threshold Wrap-Up”
Spa Night, Carrie the Musical, Rustica Walk
On Friday night, we went to Spa Night, which is a very strong way to destress before final exams for the Undergraduate students. There was even a spa smoothie made out of various fidgets. On Saturday night, we met up with a lot of people and went to see Carrie the Musical in Marren Theatre.Continue reading “Spa Night, Carrie the Musical, Rustica Walk”
Thanksgiving
Happy belated Thanksgiving everyone. We had a very casual but nice Thanksgiving in Chicago. Most of our cooking, with the exception of a few low-prep items were done on Tuesday and Wednesday night, although we also did when the Macy’s parade was on. I arrived on Tuesday morning and Tom arrived later that evening. WeContinue reading “Thanksgiving”
Early Thanksgiving Festivities, Dance Recital
It has been quiet on the blog lately. I, for once, feel more confident in all my classes than I remember feeling all year. Here are some of the non-academic events that have occurred within the past week.
