This year, Lesley combined their Alumni, Family & Friends, and Athletics weekend, and it was pretty successful. There was so much going on that it’s hard to narrow the weekend down to some highlights, but I’ll try. We were supposed to have an Open House for Newspaper Club on Thursday but due to low attendance and bad weather, decided to postpone it to October.
On Friday evening, we hosted a welcome reception, attended by numerous students, alumni, parents, faculty, and staff. We were sitting in the Washburn lounge and Susanne and I sat with a bunch of other Threshold alumni. Molly was working these events and Alyssa even came since she was visiting from Canada.
On Saturday, we hosted an all-campus cookout on South Campus, featuring faculty and staff. Many people were present, including a couple of first-year students and their parents. It was a beautiful day with amazing company.
On Sunday, the Threshold Program hosted their monthly brunch club in the Alumni Center and it was a blast. There were about 30 people there and I brought a quiche from Violette.
