On Thursday, since I did not have my volunteer job, I participated in a Cambridge Common Voices lunch concert at Rakability in Lexington. Unlike many of our other concerts, this one was in an office building, and people watched it over their lunch break.
Mia and I attended an alumni event at The Yard in Charlestown on Friday, but getting there was a bit more hectic than we’d liked. We took the Red Line to Park Street and the Green Line to Haymarket, but missed the 39 bus we were supposed to take, so we walked to Charlestown Navy Yard. I had thought it was there, but it was further North in Charlestown, so we took an Uber to the correct place. It was so much fun once we got there. She wanted to leave early to meet her dad for dinner but I wanted to stay longer so I traveled home on my own later on.

Although this has been our ongoing plan for the past several weeks, I will be roommates with Rena in the fall. Her parents took Rena and me to lunch on Saturday, and we had a lot of fun there. The restaurant was McCarthy’s, where Susanne had previously held a brunch club, but it was my first time there. We talked about items needed for the apartment and it sounds like we won’t have to rebuy too much stuff.
