On Saturday, I returned to Boston from Kiowa Island. Although the flight was smooth logistically and I gate-checked, the transport from Logan was hectic because there was no connection in the ride-share lot so my parents ordered an Uber for me. They messed up the terminal but it worked out in the end.
It was March and slightly further North (even North of Hilton Head) so the weather was not what someone would dream about for a beach vacation. But we had fun anyways.
Highlights from the trip
Freshfield Village: This is the equivalent to the main area of Hilton Head Island and we had dinner there on our first night. I also picked up a National Roommates Day gift at the main market. Meanwhile, Mom bought a sweatshirt that she returned on the last day.

Charleston Day Trip: Kiowa Island is so close to Charleston that we spent a day in the city. We had a fancy lunch at a fine dining place and then took a horse-drawn carriage tour of the city. I enjoyed listening to some of the history and how the horses were the employee of the month. The day was capped off with a walk down to the harbor.

Bikes: Like Hilton Head, the sand is so hard that we could actually bike on the beach. There are also so many trails that we biked a lot.
