A very busy weekend here in Cambridge. My dad and Mia’s parents both came to visit and there were many activities. Dave & Carolyn were around Thursday-Sunday and Dad was around Saturday-Monday. On Friday, Dave, Carolyn, and Mia went to Mocea, which was just a family outing. During this time, I went to Ava’s to grab dinner and there was a welcome reception for alumni and families. I also met Trey, who is Threshold’s newest GRA this year since Darrel graduated. Unfortunately, coming back to the apartment, I missed a step on Doble Quad and turned my ankle.

On Saturday, I worked but did not take a class so that I didn’t risk injuring my ankle feel worse. Dad arrived and we attended the carnival of the weekend. Ava’s was on an express menu, but everything was free due to so many people on campus. I ate with Eliana and her family and the day before, she invited me to come to Wilbur. The night was capped off with Dad, Dave, Carolyn, Mia and I eating at Chang Sho.
On Sunday, Dave and Carolyn had to fly back to DC, but Dad, Mia and I met at Andy’s for breakfast. I got a mushroom omelette, and Mia got chocolate chip pancakes. I also got cooked apples on the side. Later in the day, the three of us wandered into the Seaport district and went to a new ice cream place called Van Leeuway. Later this year, there will be a store in Harvard Square. We then stopped at Mia’s bakery to get some hot drinks.
