Happy belated 4th of July to everyone
This year marks my (perhaps) last Fourth of July in the Chicago area as Mia and I will be living in Cambridge together next summer. While I enjoyed being a part of our local community, I am very excited that Mia and I will be able to spend a Fourth and her birthday together next year, after spending every school break apart.
Since a lot was going on in the days leading up to the fourth, it was a bit casual this year. I got a few fun treats from Sweet Alis (a cakee — a sheet cake version of a cookie –, a firework cookie, and a cupcake. Dad and I went to the Morrissey’s house for fireworks, but Mom was not in the mood. Everyone had a nice time together.

I also finished Notre Dame Cathedral and we went into Chinatown to get some pictures for an article as part of my Geography class. I loved how someone’s home was still made out of Chinese architecture.
