We had a great closeout to the end of the semester. I completed my final exams and feel very confident about them. After finals were over, we began moving out of the dorms. Mom & Dad arrived yesterday while Dave & Carolyn arrived (in two cars) today. We began to move out yesterday and completed today. But I realize I never got a chance to write about two major events with Chef Leah and Darrell’s last ever event

On Tuesday, we had our annual BBQ and many students wanted to have this in previous years. Instead of splitting into classes, this was one combined event with the whole program. I even bought some gluten-free buns for Taylor and myself. A lot of core students, bridge students, and even transition year students attended these really fun events

On Wednesday, we had our last-ever event with Darrell because he is graduating this year. We made cake pops in the Kris Kitchen and it was a lot of fun. Taylor and I were the first ones to decorate to make sure we got our gluten-free cupcakes

Yesterday I got to participate in the Clean Kitchen Club party for taking a picture of a messy kitchen, cleaning it, and then taking a picture of a clean kitchen. Later that night, we had my Art For All exhibition, and similar to the BBQ, a lot of students and teachers attended the event. That night, we attended a cookie decorating event at Wilbur.

Tonight, we went out to Painted Burro, which is a restaurant in Harvard Square with all four of our parents. It was actually the first time that Mom and Dave had seen each other since we graduated from the Core Program. Dad, Dave, and Carolyn had come for parent’s weekend while Mom, Dad, and Carolyn had come in early November. I even bought Dave a birthday present for his 60th birthday.
