Dinner & Drinks, Puttshack, Roommate Day

Lauren was asking me how Cheesecake Factory and Puttshack were on Thursday and Saturday of last week and I realized that I never wrote my weekly post. So, here are some highlights from this week.

On Thursday, after Cross-Cultural Psychology (for me), we met at University Hall and took the Red Line to Kendall Square then walked to CambridgeSide Mall. A group of Threshold Alumni were meeting there for Dinner & Drinks and, although we signed up, it was so popular that our names were not picked from the hat. Therefore, I made a separate reservation for two. When we got there, two people had to drop out so Susanne allowed us to sit with the group.

On Friday, we went to a Mardi Gras Casino in the Alumni Hall. Since I wanted to get back for the movie night and had class until 6, I just stopped to take pictures.

On Saturday, after signing up, both of our names were picked to go to Puttshack, which is a mini-golf course in the Seaport district of Boston. Along with us, there was Ryan, Nick, Carly, Andrew, Eliana, Karena, Saumya, Pragatti, Maggie and Belle. It was quite raining, which made the travelling part a bit of an ‘adventure’. We took the Red Line to South Station adn then the Silver Line to Courthouse, but it was still a seven minute walk. Thankfully, I was wearing my heavy coat. One thing that I noticed is they have a cloakroom for coats so Carly, Andrew and I checked our coats under my phone number — it was even free. On the way back, Saumya and Eliana got off at Harvard but everyone else got off at Porter. We even stopped at Target to get apples and hot chocolate packets.

Sunday was National Roommate Day and we even allowed Lauren to join (since she has a single and was previously my roommate). We wandered down to Harvard Square and then went to Tasty Burger. Although I had been several times with Lauren, it was Mia’s first time going. Afterwards, we went to a local fashion store because Mia wanted earrings but they were too expensive.
