Happy belated Thanksgiving everyone.
We had a very casual but nice Thanksgiving in Chicago. Most of our cooking, with the exception of a few low-prep items were done on Tuesday and Wednesday night, although we also did when the Macy’s parade was on. I arrived on Tuesday morning and Tom arrived later that evening.
We had a lot of food at Thanksgiving — turkey, homemade orange rolls, gravy, cranberry sauce, salad, stuffing, corn pudding, mashed potatoes and four different pies. The pies were Gluten Free Apple Crisp, Pumpkin, Pecan and Peach. Mom was hoping to find a Lemon pie but had no success. The only things that were pre-bought were the turkey and pies.







I felt a little bit sad at times because I missed Mia but got to FaceTime with her on Friday. Wish she could be here too, but she is likely going to come in January.
On Sunday, after encountering several air traffic delays for both me and for Saumya, we had confusion about how I was supposed to help her. After so much back and forth, I decided to go with my guts and pick her up. So, I walked to Harvard Square and got on the Red Line, but there was a delay at Central Square and I was already running late to get her, so I got out and took a Lyft. Once we in arrivals, we took the Silver Line to South Station and the Red Line home before finally meeting other First Year students and Chloe at Ava’s
