We just returned from Martha’s Vineyard. The entire second week had clear skies and sun. It was also a lot of fun — a huge make up from the beginning of the first week when it was cloudy and rainy with storms and one of my college friends passed away.
Highlights from Week 2
Sightseeing Cruise: On Monday, we did a boat cruise of the Alabama. It was a heavily participation cruise and I even helped volunteer to put up one of the sails. We even had to take a smaller boat to get to the bigger boat. I really enjoyed being able to see Oak Bluffs, Vineyard Haven and Edgartown on the cruise.

Beach Plum: We went to Beach Plum for dinner on Sunday night and it was nice. There was a small selection of choice and it was a Caribbean Night.

Outermost Inn: We ate dinner at the Outermost Inn on Thursday night and it was amazing. I got the swordfish and was able to get it with vegetables instead of noodles.

Kayaking/Whitewater Rafting: On our final day on the island, Dad and I tried kayaking. I had never done it but really loved fit. We kayaked for about an hour and I paddled for longer than Dad.

Bikes: Of course, we continued to bike and I continued to be the bike leader.
Jet Boat to get home: Today we were able to get a ferry that was three hours earlier than planned although it was a freight ferry. We got out to enjoy the view and I really thought we were drifting across the waves in a jet boat.
