We did our two-week vacation to Martha’s Vineyard right before school starts. The first two days (other than the arrival day) were cloudy and rainy, not the weather you would dream of for a beach vacation, but the rest of the week was clear skies and sun. We also had a bit of an incident when a friend of mine from college passed away.
Anyway, here are some of the highlights from the first week.
Ferry Ride: We had a very nice ferry ride from Woods Hole to Vineyard Haven. It was clear skies and we got to sit outside. Another bonus is that there was no announcement when the captain says “Attention passengers, I need the owner of a blue audi with an IL plate, please report to your vehicle”.

Grey Barn: Aunt Marty, Uncle Pete and Cousin Willow went here in the summer of 2021. We stopped by on arrival day because we arrived at 9, but could not check into the house until 3.

Seashell Hunt: I swam at State Beach and found a bunch of seashells. I would collect them and bring them to Mom and Dad
Bikes: We rode our bikes on the island both around the Katama triangle and in Oak Bluffs. we each took a turn leading and I was a great leader and follower. In Oak Bluffs, I ran into a bench and it created a scab on my elbow. But, we are in treatment and I plan to have it healed before Wilbur.
