Harvard Museum, Banksy, ICA, Quadfest/Semiformal

Another busy week and here are some highlights for me.

On Wednesday, after being so close, I finally got to check out the Harvard Museum of Natural History. It is a small museum and I enjoyed the dinosaurs, the mammals and the space exhibit. Unlike London where there is too much to see in one visit, I was able to see the entire museum in an hour.

On Thursday, I got a chance toto check out the Banksy exhibit. Although I knew I was out too much, this was one of my last chances to go as they are suppose to close in May. I was able to get a ticket for just 30 dollars, whereas it would normally cost 55 dollars. He is a very famous artist from England and it was right in Harvard Square.

On Friday, I went to the ICA with Nathalie. I’ve been meaning to go for quite a while and now I finally got to go. We took the Red Line from Harvard to South Station and then took the Silver Line to the World Trade Center, but on the way back we got on the Silver Line at Courthouse, which is actually closer. I loved the contemporary art, notice that I went here and I was in so many contemporary dances for Lesley University Dance Team? We were late for our time, but it was not a problem because there were not many people there. There were not just paintings, but sculptures as well.

Today, I went to, what I think is a modified semi-formal. I call it this because there was a DJ just like any semiformal and all students were welcome, but it was outdoors and there were a lot of activities. I even think it was much better than the Threshold annual semi-formal because it was outdoors and all undergrad, grad and Threshold students were invited. Additionally, it was more of an open house. I still liked the DJ and wore a dress for it. However, I did not fully dress up like I would of for Homecoming, Prom or a real semi-formal. My favorite activity was the BUild A Bear and I also did a Ring Toss.
