For Columbus Day Weekend, we decided to escape up North to Vermont. On Saturday morning, my parents met me at Starbucks, but Mom and I went back to the dorm to do some tidying up. We were trying to be quick and get on the road. When we arrived, we ate dinner at a pub, just like in Europe.
On Sunday, we went apple picking in Dorset. We stopped at Vineyard Haven on the way and filled two bags with apples. One thing that we had known is to twist the apples — never pull them. We loved it and it was worth it. The brands we got to pick include Gala, Krispy Crisp, Empiro and a couple of others.
From there, we took a gondola ride in Stratton Vermont. It was a bit foggy, so not the best view that we were hoping for, but we did enjoy seeing the leaves. From there, we hiked up to the fire-pit. The trail was very wabally and uneven so I had to get Mom and Dad to hold onto me. We got up, but we did not climb to the top of the tower because there was a long wait. One thing I learned was that we were right by the Application Mountians
