This week has been full of adventures and it’s hard to narrow it down to some highlights but I’ll try.
On Wednesday, we walked to Davis and Porter Square to check them out. We walked around Porter Square from University Hall. Some of the places that we walked by are Target, Panera, Dunkin Donuts and Cafe Nero (just like in London). From there, we walked all the way up to Davis Square to check it out. We did not go to JP Licks, but we saw CVS, various shops and restaurants. After several hours, we came back to U-Hall on the T.
On Thursday, we finally had Business class with Jen. After my meeting with Mellissa, I walked around Harvard Square and did so much shopping — quite a lot of a university student. I walked down via Harvard University. Oh and by the way I was told non-Harvard students are not allowed inside their gates (did not get told off because I was unaware of that rule) but will never take that short-cut again. I walked around Harvard Square to check it out. One of my notable purchases was 20 dollars of macaroons just to gain access to a bathroom. I also bought Matthew a birthday present and myself a 7-day T card. On the way back, I stopped at JP Licks for ice cream but used apple pay because I did not have enough money.
On Friday, I rented a bike from Porter Square and biked along Mass Ave. I went past Alewife to the trail that my parents took me to before. It was basically a ride from Cambridge to Arlington. That was my first (and probably last) time biking along Mass Ave. This is kind of like a video game because cars are beside me and there are so many walkers everywhere. From the trail, I biked to Alewife and then returned my bike and took the T back.
On Saturday, I ran at Cambridge Commons, which was a nice warm-up part of my day, but it was my biggest adventure. I met a girl named Maddie, who is from Southwest Connecticut, but lived in Oak Park until she was seven and we did travel training out to Logan Airport together. We walked to Harvard Station (because there was no service from Harvard to Alewife, if given the choice I would use Porter) and took the Red Line to South Station. From there, we changed to the Silver Line, but there were more people than could fit on our bus during our switch. Since we were not flying, we agreed to stay and wait for the next bus. Upon arrival at Logan, we just got off and waited for the next bus to get back to South Station. From there, it was an easy journey to South Station and then back to Harvard.
In the evening, I met with Mom and Dad for a much needed birthday dinner. They picked me up and then we went to a rather nice Italian restaurant and then we went to get ice cream.

As a side note, I would like to thank Mom and Dad for the butterflies. I put 19 up in my room spread out — one for each year. Now, the only empty wall is above Eliana’s bed.
