New People, Walk with Bear-Bear and Eliana’s Return

While Eliana was away in Connecticut, I hung out with Mia. She and I ate dinner together on Saturday, ate brunch yesterday and walked to get my prescription from Walgreens together. It was so much fun. On Saturday, I even took a walk with Mom and Dad to get ice cream at JP Licks in Davis Square.

Yesterday, while I was hanging outside with Keira and her friend Molly, we were sitting on the porch with two alumni students. but Kolin came and said that alumni are not allowed on campus, which apparently includes the porch of our houses. They apologized and left the porch.

Later in the afternoon, I took a walk around to find Eliana, but took a break from the adventure to go back to my room after not having any success. At around 4ish, I decided to take my stuffed animal, Bear-Bear out with me for a walk to get some fresh air and to find Eliana, thinking that with two sets of eyes, we could find her. We walked around Doble Campus together and asked any undergraduate student we ran into for help. She told us she’d be back on the 19th, so we searched on the right day.

After about an hour, Bear-Bear and I decided to go back to 308 at Kris House. Just as we returned, Eliana came upstairs with her dad (great minds think alike). He came upstairs to help her unpack her things from this trip, but he only stayed upstairs for a couple of minutes. After a quick welcome back, we met up with Mia and Alexi and decided to go down to White Hall for dinner together.

In the evening, Alexi wanted to spend time with Eliana since she’d been away for what was actually closer to two days. During that time, Mia and I went to Berry Line to get ice cream and our friend Chloe came and met us. We all got frozen yogurts with different toppings and enjoyed them, Rather than bringing them back to the room, we actually sat there and ate to catch up.

After Alexi left for the night, Eliana and I finally signed our roommate agreement. The plan was to have a week of orientation, a week of classes and then write and sign it on Saturday morning, but Eliana had to go out of town. While she was away, I spent about 40 minutes typing it listing some rules based on what I had observed during the first two weeks. We added that if one of us is in a meeting with a psychologist, counsellor or therapist, the other person cannot be in the room.
