Single Room Tonight

I have survived my first two weeks at Threshold really well. At the two-week interval, the room has been a mess, but I did a very deep clean of it. Eliana and I are hoping to keep it this way for the rest of the year. I am proud of myself and hope to sleep very well tonight.

Last night, the movie that was voted on was Kung Fu Panda. I stayed there for a little bit just to say hi to people, but later I went to check on some of my undergraduate friends. Before going, I had a meeting with my newly joint dance team and we welcomed the staff together. We also introduced some of the general team.

Tonight, I get a single room because Eliana is in Connecticut. I had found out about it yesterday and thought we should all go as a Threshold Program. She did not think it was a great idea to send 50 people, and neither did Susanne. So, last night, we agreed that Eliana would go by herself (with the Nardellis of course) and we would stay on campus.

This morning, I had to wake up really early because Eliana was up at 7am so I woke up with her. She did not come back to the room until very late last night and we went to bed closer to 11, but did not fall asleep until 1:30. My body was ready to be up around 7 with her so I only got 5 1/2 hours of sleep. I am hoping to catch up on sleep during my solo night so that Eliana can come back to a well-rested roommate. Now, I would like to talk about my day.

I woke up around 7 because my body was ready to get up. I even pretend to go with Eliana and packed my backpack last night with everything I would need for the next day in a half. I put a sign on our door so that people knew where she was if they needed her. We spent about an hour waiting on Kris porch and then her dad Mark came and I even got to chat with him for a bit. I said “I got my backpack packed and am ready for my adventure” and he asked me “Have you been cleared to leave campus?” I replied “Just kidding, she has been cleared to travel to Connecticut with you, I am just here to see her off and wish her safe travels.”

After Eliana and Mark left, I went back to 308 for several hours for some much needed cleaning — the first time it happened since the move in. Sydney came into the room to keep me company so that I was not alone. I found some things that belonged to Eliana but I put them on her bed and desk for her to deal with later.

Here are a few pictures from the day
