We have done so much to get ready for Threshold. My parents are spending sometime in Boston and we sent some of our stuff in advance. My dad even went to Boston a few weeks ago to receive it because the building will not receive deliveries of furniture in our absence. The sixth floor is the amenities floor and we do not have access to floors 2 to 5.
We also did lots of shopping for back to college items. Some of the thing we bought include twin xl sheets, towels, a shower caddy, a laundry bag, storage bins, ikea totes for transporting, room decorations, a desk lamp and posters. I am also supposed to bring a rug and a printer while my roommate is bringing a fridge.
I had several calls with my new friend and roommate Eliana Nardelli. She is from Medfield, Massachusetts, which is a town south of Needham, but spends some of their summers on the Cape. her grandparents live in Newton, Massachusets.
We have started our long drive today stopping in Rochester. I am writing this from Uncle Stuart and Aunt Martha’s house. Boy there were so many delays and while trying to find a bathroom in Ohio, all the McDonalds’ were drive-through only until we found Taco Bell, which had their dining room open. It was a long day and we did not get to Stuart and Martha’s until 8pm Eastern Time.
